NOTES
Mortuaries without on-site funeral chapels are Bay Area CFS, Cunningham’s, and San Jose FS. Funeral and memorial services can be held at churches, cemetery chapels, homes, or other locations if you desire.
Bodies may be stored and/or embalmed at a different location than the mortuary’s listed address. Minimum caskets are included for ground burial. See below for descriptions. Most cremation containers (included) are heavy cardboard and hold up to 240 lbs. A more costly container and higher crematory fee can be expected for heavier persons. Also included; a plastic or cardboard container for cremated remains, all transportation. You need death certificates for transferring titles and accounts, social security, insurance. Cost for each is $12-13, depending on county. Obituaries are also an extra cost. Substitutions to the listed package prices are discouraged. Deletions of merchandise or services may not result in a credit. The mortuary personnel will wash and dress the body for B1 and B2 plans for an additional fee. It is included in B3. There may be minor price variations, e.g., rounding off, sales tax. Payment polices of each mortuary may differ, ask.
Alameda Family will need next of kin to come in to sign and have a final arrangement conference. Other mortuaries can do all by mail, phone and fax - even in cases of signing up a relative at or near death. Ask for a General Price List to see all options.

If you deviate from the five package plans arranged especially for FCA members, expect to pay the prices on the regular public price list. We recommend you communicate with the funeral home and examine its General Price List as we don’t have room here to list all the possible extra charges that may apply. Here are some common ones. |
